Very good hotel. Staff was very friendly and occomadating. They let me use the business office and were very helpful. The price was the best for the class in the area. The location was fine. I front desk was very helpful too. I do wish there was a pool, but you can't have everything |

The Westgate by far exceeded all of my expectations!! I have to admit the formality of this hotel is above what I am use to, but I did not feel out of place or uncomfortable. The employees were all very polite and accommodating.
The airport shuttle service was quick and convenient. We had no problems checking in or out. I have to admit it was a little noisy, but I think it would be noisy anyplace you stay downtown. There were a lot of sirens throughout the night. The rooms were very nice and the bed comfortable. All the extra little amenities are what makes this place so special.
The trolley and bus service is very convenient, although you can walk to most downtown locations. It is situated close to the convention center, gaslamp district, marina, seaport village, shopping, dining, etc.
They were very helpful in recommending places to eat, activities, and helping us plan our transportation throughout the week.
This hotel is definitely a 5-star hotel!

The rooms could use a coffee-maker with coffee, sugar and cream, etc. It is very inconvenient to get dressed and walk to Starbucks every morning. We did ask the hotel staff if there was a way to get coffee and we were told that we would have to order room service. The day we left the hotel we overheard one of the staff members tell another guest that the hotel provided complimentary coffee in the lobby every morning. It would have been nice if the staff would have let us know or if there was a note in the hotel directory. While this may seem like a very petty complaint, it made my stay less enjoyable. |
